Presentation

Trauma playing soccer, one week ago. Referred pain when walking.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male

- tear of the plantar plate at the distal insertion on the base of the proximal phalanx and slight dislocation proximally

- tear of lateral accessory collateral ligament and lateral proper collateral ligament

- inflammatory process adjacent to plantar plate, including reaction bursitis in the second intermetatarsal space and tenosynovitis of the second flexor digitorum longus and brevis.
