Third trimester obstetric followup. GA 32w2d.

Patient Data

Age: 32 weeks gestation
Gender: Female

Antenatal scan

ultrasound

Right kidney enlarged and largely replaced by multiple non-communicating cysts. Left kidney mild pyelectasis.

Case Discussion

Right multicystic dysplastic kidney. 

Mild left pyelectasis will routinely require followup in early postnatal life, however is somewhat more pertinent in this case given the right kidney will be non-functioning.
