Comminuted fracture through the body of the right scapula with the posterior displacement of the free fragment. The fracture does not appear to extend to the glenoid articulating surface.
Case Discussion
Fractured scapulae can be difficult to image in resuscitation situations, especially when the patient is on spinal precautions.
This particular case utilized a heavily angled supine technique to achieve a diagnostic image without any patient movement.
