Gluteal region injection for fever one week back. Complaining of local pain for the last 1 - 2 days.

The area of pain shows echogenic, thickened subcutaneous fat. Underlying gluteus maximus muscle shows increased thickness, an ill-defined area of increased echogenicity. No collection with mobile echoes. No local hypervascularity.
Case Discussion
The case shows post gluteal injection subcutaneous fat and muscle inflammation after local injection without an abscess.
