Vesico-urachal diverticulum

Presentation

Female child presented with recurrent symptoms of cystitis. Ultrasound revealed an antero-superior urinary bladder out-pouch. There was a reported past-history of hydrocephalus.

Age: 2 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Computed radiography of the abdomen demonstrates the distal tip of a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt tube projected over the pelvis.

No radio-opaque stones or abnormal calcification seen. 

Fluoroscopy

Frontal and lateral views of an ascending cystography examination demonstrate an antero-superior, contrast-filled, wide-neck outpouching in keeping with a vesico-urachal diverticulum.
