Presentation
Female child presented with recurrent symptoms of cystitis. Ultrasound revealed an antero-superior urinary bladder out-pouch. There was a reported past-history of hydrocephalus.
Patient Data
Computed radiography of the abdomen demonstrates the distal tip of a ventriculo-peritoneal shunt tube projected over the pelvis.
No radio-opaque stones or abnormal calcification seen.
Frontal and lateral views of an ascending cystography examination demonstrate an antero-superior, contrast-filled, wide-neck outpouching in keeping with a vesico-urachal diverticulum.
Case Discussion
Vesico-urachal diverticulum is one of the congenital urachal anomalies.
