Presentation

Post radiotherapy and low anterior resection ten years ago for rectal cancer. Follow-up.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male

The right kidney is in its normal site and is average size. It has a few simple cortical cysts, the largest measuring about = 7.0 x 7.0 cm. No stones or masses within.

The left kidney is ectopic in the pelvis and crosses the midline into the right iliac fossa region. It also has a few cysts, the largest measuring about 7.0 x 4.7 cm. No stones or masses within. Renal artery and vein originate from corresponding feeder distal aorta and draining and proximal IVC respectively.

Case Discussion

Incidentally noted crossed ectopic left kidney is noted the pelvis at the right iliac fossa region. 

The left renal artery and vein originate from corresponding feeder distal aorta and draining proximal IVC respectively.
