Presentation
Clinical diagnosis of ulnar nerve compression at the elbow with a positive result on nerve conduction studies. Elbow radiograph showed marginal osteophytes involving elbow joint.

- edematous, hypoechoic ulnar nerve just proximal to the elbow along with the increased cross-sectional area
- elbow flexion results in ulnar nerve dislocation, no associated triceps dislocation
- the long axis of the nerve shows nerve compression with proximal edema
- mild synovial thickening with effusion in the posterior recess of the elbow
Case Discussion
Ultrasound findings of ulnar nerve compression with edema at and proximal to the elbow joint as well as ulnar nerve dislocation with elbow flexion in a patient with the clinical diagnosis of ulnar neuropathy confirmed by nerve conduction studies.
