The appendix testis and appendix epididymis are vestigial remnants of the Mullerian and Wolffian ducts, respectively. They are common incidental findings with the appendix testis reported to be present in 90% of men and the appendix epididymis in 25% of men. Both can undergo torsion, resulting in acute scrotal pain.
