Presentation

Blurred vision and tearing. Left-sided periorbital mass.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
mri

The left lacrimal gland appears rounded in configuration, lying anterior to the lateral orbital rim and lateral to the eyeball, showing normal signal intensity without focal lesions or abnormal enhancement.

Findings are those of left lacrimal gland prolapse.

No abnormal signal intensity of optic nerve or eye globe bilaterally.

Case Discussion

The patient presented with:

  • blurring of vision and tearing
  • prominent left-sided periorbital mass (2 months' duration)

Orbital MRI showed left lacrimal gland prolapse.
