History of twisting the right foot yesterday at work. Tenderness and swelling to the dorsum of the right foot.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

A hairline fracture is seen at the base of the right 5th metatarsal bone and soft tissue swelling.

Case Discussion

Jones fracture is a transverse fracture at the base of the fifth metatarsal, 1.5 to 3 cm distal to the proximal tuberosity at the metadiaphyseal junction, without distal extension.
