A large, longitudinal linear hyperintense signal is seen within the posterior horn of the medial meniscus disrupting its articular surface and reaching the tibial surface. It is associated with a large portion of the meniscus which has flipped posteriorly.

Case Discussion

When displaced anteriorly, the flipped meniscus demonstrates the 'double anterior horn sign', and when displaced posteriorly it conforms to the 'disproportionate posterior horn sign'.
