Case Discussion

Intramuscular hydatid cyst has been reported in the sartorius, quadricepsgluteal muscles, chest wall musculature and pectoralis major muscle. Most cases are treated by surgical excision. In our recent case, the hydatid cyst was totally excised, after which and the daughter cysts were evacuated and the mass lesion was thus proven to be a hydatid cyst.
