The lunate is dislocated anteriorly and proximally anterior to the distal radial start. The capitate is articulating with the distal radius. Scaphoid waist fracture with the proximal pole displaced proximally and anteriorly. There is also a dorsal triquetral fracture. Significant dorsal and volar soft tissue swelling.
Case Discussion
The lunate (and part of the scaphoid) is rarely dislocated this far from the carpus, signifying high velocity trauma.
