Selected coronal and axial T2 images show:
- extended fetal head position, with the posterior part of the fetal brain is over the cervical and upper thoracic vertebrae, consistent with iniencephaly
- multiple fluid-filled structures are noted at both sides of the thorax, suggestive of congenital diaphragmatic hernia
Case Discussion
MRI confirms the presence of iniencephaly and congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
