Presentation

Wrist pain after motorcycle fall.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

There is a misalignment of the first Gilula arch, in which the lunate 'overlaps' the capitate and the scaphoid. The lunate bone has a triangular appearance on AP projection, with displacement and volar rotation on the lateral film. There is also a diffuse reduction of bone attenuation.
