Mature cystic ovarian teratoma

Age: 12 years
Gender: Female

A well defined, unilocular complex cystic lesion is seen in the pelvis posterior to the uterus with the uterus being stretched over the lesion.

The lesion contents include; anechoic fluid, hyperechoic fat (without posterior shadowing) and foci of calcification (echogenic foci with posterior shadowing). 

There is a complex mass lesion in the midline pelvic region posterior to uterus and anterior to rectum measuring 8.8cm x 6.7cmx 7.4cm (TR X AP X CC) in diameters respectively.
Both ovaries are not clearly visualized and it is not possible to comment whether it is arising from the right adnexa or the left.
The mass lesion is predominantly cystic with some fat contents.
The mass lesion compresses uterus anteriorly. No dilatation of the endometrial canal is noted.
Visualized bony structures and soft tissues show normal signal.
No free fluid in the pelvis.
