Presentation

Nine months of dysphagia.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
Fluoroscopy

Images show contrast material within the upper thoracic esophagus which is dilated. Distal to this, there is a 6 cm irregular marked narrowing of the mid-thoracic esophagus with distal shouldering. 

Case Discussion

Findings are consistent with esophageal carcinoma of the mid-thoracic esophagus (irregular stricture).
