The entire corpus callosum is homogeneously hypodense.
Case Discussion
With the history in mind the imaging appearance is pathognomonic for advanced Marchiafava-Bignami disease. Despite the prompt diagnosis and management in ICU the comatose state of the patient gradually worsened over the next few days and he eventually succumbed to the disease.
