Tetralogy of Fallot and tracheoesophageal fistula

Neonate with "boot-shaped" heart consistent with subsequently proven tetralogy of Fallot.
Nasogastric tube is coiled in proximal esophagus, transparency of esophagus is interrupted on lateral view, and distal esophagus apparently connected to trachea by continuous lucency that represents tracheoesophageal fistula.
Case Discussion
Tetralogy of Fallot is frequently associated with other cardiovascular and non-cardiovascular anomalies, including presence of a tracheoesophageal fistula.
