Tuberculous mediastinal abscess

Age: Infant
x-ray

Inspiratory and expiratory views of the chest demonstrate an ill-defined mediastinal opacity and hyperinflation of the right lung due to gas trapping. 

Mediastinal mass with peripheral enhancement and central hypodensity. There is invasion/narrowing of the right main bronchus is present accounting for the right lung hyperinflation.

This mediastinal abscess was drained and found to be secondary to tuberculosis infection.
