Oval shaped hyperechoic solid appearing mass with multiple hypoechoic curvilinear echoes clustered within the mass without daughter cysts.
Case Discussion
Ultrasound is the most sensitive modality for the detection of membranes, septa, and hydatid sand within the cyst. This case represents an inactive stage of hydatid cyst, stage CE 4 according to the WHO classification of hepatic hydatid cysts.
