Presentation

Presented with history of post-traumatic left hip pain and difficulty in walking for the last one day

Patient Data

Gender: Male

There is minimally displaced avulsion fracture of the left greater trochanter. There is no intertrochanteric or femur neck fracture. There is no bone lesion/ periosteal reaction/ dislocation.

Case Discussion

Hip rotators attach at the greater trochanter and a sudden change in direction can result in an avulsion fracture.
