Presentation

Chronic headaches.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female

There are numerous small well-defined lytic areas within the calvarium at the occipital region, adjacent to the lateral, and straight sinuses of CSF signal intensity on all sequences.

Case Discussion

MRI features of well-defined occipital lesions of CSF signal intensity protruding into the adjacent calvarium most consistent of aberrant arachnoid granulations. These are a common incidental finding.
