Presentation

Incidental detection.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male
mri

Presence of normal parotid parenchyma along the course of main parotid duct on both sides, asymmetrcially bulkier on the right.  No underlying lesions or stones. 

Case Discussion

Any disorder affecting the main parotid gland can affect the accessory parotid gland. It is usually seen along the superior margin of Stenson duct and may or may not be contiguous with the main gland.
