Acute appendicitis

A dilated appendix (10 mm) is seen in the right iliac fossa with distinct appendiceal wall layers (gut signature sign) which implies non-necrotic stage.
Echogenic prominent pericaecal and periappendiceal fat.
Case Discussion
The findings are consistent with acute appendicitis.
