Patient presented with severe right hypochondrial pain.

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Enlarged liver of bright echopattern with marked gall bladder wall thickening and edema denoting acute cholecystopathy.

Enlarged liver of homogenous CT texture. It has periportal tracking with halo and hypoattenuation suggesting edema. Gall bladder has marked wall thickening with contracted lumen and hyperdense inner wall. No visible calculi inside. Multiple small porta hepatis lymph nodes are seen associated with mild fat stranding.

Case Discussion

CT findings in diffuse parenchymal hepatic inflammation proved to be acute viral hepatitis.
