Presentation
Chronic pelvic pain.
Patient Data
The uterus is moderately enlarged with two horns and a common cervix. The inter-cornual angle was at 55° with the flat external contour of the uterine fundus, and the inter-cornual distance was at 30 mm.
Thickening of the junctional zone at the uterine fundus (20 mm) with multiple high T1WI/T2WI foci within.
There are two small intra-mural leiomyomas, fundal (23 mm), and corporeal left posterolateral (20 mm). Numerous small Nabothian cysts are noted within the cervical stroma.
Both ovaries appear normal with numerous follicles
Case Discussion
MRI features are consistent with adenomyosis within a partial septate uterus (class Vb of Mullerian duct anomaly classification).
