Autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease with extensive hepatic involvement

Presentation

Abdominal swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female

CT demonstrates markedly enlarged kidneys with numerous cysts, some of which are hyperdense. The liver also contains numerous large cysts. 

Note extensive subcutaneous edema and ascites. 

Features are consistent with known autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease.
