CT demonstrates a small right sided adrenal mass tucked in between the IVC, kidney, liver and vertebral column. It is well circumscribed and of low density on pre-contrast imaging (6HU). Following administration of contrast if enhances to a maximum of 60HU during portal venous phase, and then washes out to 27HU on delayed imaging.
MRI confirms the abnormality and also confirms signal drop out on out of phase T1 imaging.
Features are characteristic of an adrenal adenoma on both CT and MRI.
