Presentation

Incidentally detected adrenal lesion on sonography. Patient was evaluated by sonography for irregular menses.

Gender: Female

The signal drop in the out of phase imaging within the right adrenal lesion signifies the presence of intracellular fat.

Case Discussion

Adrenal adenomas are the commonest primary adrenal lesion. Contrast multiphasic CT (adrenal protocol) and chemical shift MRI imaging have high sensitivity and specificity for identifying adrenal adenomas.
