Adrenal remnant after nephrectomy

Presentation

After a routine ultrasound, a patient was found to have a small mass in the region of the right adrenal gland, after having a nephrectomy of the right kidney one year earlier. She was referred to have selective angiography of the area.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

After digital subtraction angiography (DSA) of the abdominal aorta was performed, a remnant of the right adrenal gland was found where a nephrectomy was performed one year earlier. The images show the remnant through a  selective angiogram of the right renal artery, depicting a rich blood supply.
