Presentation

Hard painless left-sided facial swelling.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male
ct

Well-demarcated expansive multiloculated "soap-bubble" lesion with solid enhancing component involving the ramus of the left mandible extending to the mandibular angle with cortical thinning and destruction. No extension to the adjacent structures.

Case Discussion

MRI features of mandibular expansive multiloculated "soap-bubble" lesion most consistent with ameloblastoma (biopsy-proven).

Ameloblastomas are benign tumors but locally aggressive with a high rate of recurrence.
