The appendix is seen directed downwards and coursing into the right inguinal canal, clear surrounding fat planes with no radiological evidnce of appendicitis.
Multiple air/fluid filled diverticula seen along the descending colon with clear surrounding fat planes.

Amyand hernia is a rare form of inguinal hernia in which the appendix is directed downwards and included into the inguinal canal.
