An expansile lucent lesion in the metadiaphysis of the tibia has a narrow zone of transition and lacks cortical breach, fracture or periosteal reaction. It does not reach the growth plate which remains normal.
Case Discussion
This patient went on to have a curettage which histologically confirmed this lesion to be an aneurysmal bone cyst (ABC). This case illustrates a fairly typical location and appearance.
