Angiolipoma

Presentation

Weakness of left upper and lower limbs.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Male
MRI

An extra-axial epidural posterior spinal lesion is seen. It appears hyperintense on T2 and T1. It is partially suppressed on T1 fat sat (owing to it containing vascular component in fat). It lies opposite C5 down to T1.

Case Discussion

Spinal angiolipomas are benign uncommon neoplasm composed of mature lipocytes admixed with abnormal blood vessels. Prior to diagnosis 40.6% of the patients had weakness of lower limbs.
