Anterior shoulder dislocation and humeral head fracture

Presentation

Fall during seizure.

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

The humeral head is dislocated anterior to the glenoid cavity. A large fracture fragment from the humeral head involving the greater tuberosity is displaced laterally. No definite Hill-Sachs fracture or bony Bankart lesion. The widened AC joint is longstanding.

Case Discussion

An atypical anterior dislocation case where a large fracture fragment from the posterolateral humeral head, including the great tuberosity, is left behind in the glenoid.
