Recurrent bouts of cough, expectoration, dyspnea and fever.

Localized varicose bronchiectasis in the right upper lobe with a cavitary lesion showing a soft tissue nodule inside surrounded by a crescent of air.

Incidental large hypodense hepatic lesion in segments 7-8 and bilateral elastofibroma dorsi in the soft-tissue window.

Bronchiectasis with the formation of a cavity is one of the predisposing factors that aids in colonization of fungus Aspergillus fumigatus formation of aspergilloma.

The fungus ball within the air filled cavity causes the air crescent sign.
