Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Non-traumatic swelling on posterior aspect of knee for 2 to 3 months.

Patient Data

Age: 6 years
Gender: Male
x-ray

Soft tissue swelling at the posterior knee compartment.

ultrasound

Ultrasound shows a well-defined cystic lesion with echoes at typical location of popliteal cyst. No leak is noted at distal end of the lesion. 

The popliteal vessels are patent.
