Case Discussion

Basal ganglia calcification can be seen in a healthy adult without any clinical presentations. However, there are a number of diseases which can be associated with basal ganglia calcification.

The typical site of basal ganglia calcification on x-ray skull is bilaterally symmetrical and parasagittal on AP view and somewhat parallel to squamosal suture on the lateral view.
