Basilar artery thrombosis

While no territorial infarction was seen on the native scan, the basilar artery appeared to be hyperdense (not shown).
CT-angiography clearly showed a thrombus in the head of the basilar artery going over into both posterior cerebral arteries.
Patient was transferred to neuroradiology and catheter-directed intra-arterial thrombolysis was performed.
