Dilated subarachnoid spaces especially bifrontal and anterior interhemispheric CSF spaces (>1 cm)
Normal configuration of the ventricular system.
Case Discussion
BESS is a condition characterized by the CT findings of dilatation of the subarachnoid spaces, normal ventricular size, and prominence of the basilar cisterns.
Most cases were found in children referred for the evaluation of abnormally increasing head circumference measurements.
The condition resolves spontaneously by the age of 2 years.
