The left masseter muscle and left pterygoid muscle are hypertrophied and are asymmetrically enlarged compared to the right side. No focal lesion or abscess is seen.
Case Discussion
Hypertrophy of masseter muscle is a condition that mainly does not require surgical intervention. It is an example of a pseudomass, i.e. it mimics true pathology.
