Dysphagia. Past history of colorectal cancer.

Patient Data

Age: 70
Gender: Female

Common origin of both common carotid arteries. The right subclavian artery is the last supra-aortic branch and passes behind the esophagus, compressing its lumen.

Contrast-enhanced 3D MRA MIP showing the anomalous vascular situation of the aortic arch.

Aberrant right subclavian arteries can cause dysphagia lusoria.
