Presentation

Urinary tract infection. Ultrasound revealed left mild hydronephrosis.

Age: 13 years
Gender: Male

Intravenous urogram

x-ray

Bilateral duplex moieties with left sided ureterocoele.

There is clear demarcation of two separate moieties in each kidney depicted in the pyelographic phase of urogram. Of note in the urinary bladder filling phase is a well defined radiolucent halo, also described as the cobra head sign, seen in ureterocele

Left-sided ureterocoele is demonstrated as the last to empty with residual urine hold up within it.
