Imaging features are suggestive of bilateral mature cystic teratoma or dermoid cyst of ovary.

Case Discussion

Dermoid cyst or mature cystic teratoma is the most common ovarian neoplasm in young females. It commonly affects adult females of reproductive age group. Dermoids arise from all three germinal layers and contain various tissues within.

Mature cystic teratomas account for ~15% (range 10-20%) of all ovarian neoplasms. They tend to be identified in young women, typically around the age of 30 years and are also the most common ovarian neoplasm in patients younger than 20 years.1,2
