Presentation

Post cardiac surgery.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male

Lines and tubes are appropriately positioned. Sternal wires intact.

Bilateral pericardial fat tags and lucency in the lower zones suggest the presence of bilateral pneumothoraces.

Increased density in the right hemithorax without consolidation is in keeping with a supine pleural effusion.
