Bilateral tubo-ovarian abscess

Presentation

Pelvic pain and low-grade fever for a week.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Female

There are bilateral cystic ovarian mass with septations and extensive ascites (approx. 26 HU). The peritoneum is hyperemic, but no nodular implants are clearly identified. 

Case Discussion

The patient went in the OR the same day and the diagnosis of bilateral tubo-ovarian abscess was confirmed.
