Age: 80 years
Gender: Female

Subtrochanteric oblique fracture of the proximal left femur with medial "beaking".

Case Discussion

This is the typical pattern of a bisphosphonate-related femoral fracture. This patient had been taking bisphosphonates for 14 years. There were also typical changes of a stress reaction of the right femur (not shown).
