Breast hamartoma

Presentation

Large palpable soft tissue mass right breast.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Female
mammography

There is a 9 x 10 cm large well-circumscribed, oval mass containing both fat and soft-tissue density with a thin, radiopaque pseudocapsule suggestive of fibroadenolipoma (hamartoma). This has a breast within a breast appearance.

Real time sonography(not shown) was performed and showed this lesion containing fat.

Scattered punctuate microcalcifications within the mass appear benign type.
