Presentation

History of pulmonary resection due to right upper lobe lung cancer (adenocarcinoma).

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male

Postoperative changes (right upper lobectomy) are seen in the right hemithorax. The CT shows a fistulous connection between the pleural air collection and the bronchial system.

Case Discussion

The findings are consistent with a bronchopleural fistula, a postoperative complication following pulmonary resection due to lung adenocarcinoma.
